something different in B&W

Taken while on a recent trip into the Queensland interior. Lake Moogerah is a popular location for summer camping, boating and outdoor play.

I found this scene during the peak of the day, shot in B&W on my Fuji X100S. I was trying to capture the mountain horizon, the leading lines of the shore and the canoe’rs. Then to my surprise a horse wondered down to the waters edge for a refreshing drink. I framed my composition and waited for just the right moment, when his silhouette was just right.

Something a bit different, but I hope you enjoy it.
