Crystal clear waters

There isn’t much better than spending the day at the beach on a nice hot summer day..

This shot was taken at Cylinder Beach on Stradbroke Island a short ferry ride east of Brisbane. Cylinder beach on this occasion had a nice sandbar which dived the surf and created a easy water wading area. Perfect for families. The best of both worlds really. Surf to play in out the back and an easy relaxing area to chill out.

Cylinder Beach was rated as one of the top 10 beaches of Australia, which in a country with some amazing beaches, that really stands for something.

When I shoot here I quite often take advantage of a polarising filter. I mentioned this on this posts  and show an example shot taken from cylinder beach. This next shot was taken with a similar technique, although trying to emphasis the layers of colour and crystal clear waters.
