simple lines
I really like the simple but effective composition of this shot. The basis of composition like lines, shapes and patterns and also the classic rule of thirds all combine to create this shot below.
The smoothed out flowing water streaks diagonally across the image, pulling your eye within and taking it into the horizon line. While the lines in the sky pull you into a similar directing, resulting in a shot that you can’t help be drawn into. Well that is at least how I felt when I was out there squatting down into the water, looking through the viewfinder to build my scene.
Tech Notes
Nothing actually that technical. Shot at F/22 and ISO100 to get the longer shutter speed of 1/3 second. I used my 3-stop reverse grad filter to tone down the sky help give the image a more balanced exposure.
Enjoy
