splattering of colour

Found this colourful vine reaching it’s way across the building wall.

It seemed ironic that the building was painted such a neutral tone. The grey seemed like the perfect platter for this splattering of colour. Makes me think of some abstract painters paint flicks speckled across a grey canvas. For the photographers out there, it was like a perfect 18% grey card included in my shot.

The subtle variations in the vine leaves colour caught my eye, and I just couldn’t pass up exploring the possibilities. Queensland is home to some fantastic flora, something I try not take for granted.
