So while out walking the dog, I did a “under the tree, check for spiders webs” and noticed a little friend hanging out above. He had such a large abdomen which was brightly colored purple with red speckles and a couple of yellow eyes. The body shape and specific coloring made for a really cartoonish look about it. I later checked on the web and the search results didn’t come up with a lot of matches. Plus I really didn’t want to find the species as it was far more entertaining to consider my find at the foreground of #science. Finding a new species, I might even get to name it. I’ve removed the geo location to protect the identity and location of my discovery. Please #arachnid and #spider enthusiast tell me if you know what this spider is. (Besides the name I’ve given it) there was also a large egg sac and a cluster of leave that made his/her home. Probably going to be a whole stack of the little critter soon.
