Beautiful pre dawn glow at Hamilton Island

Colourful still morning

Was lucky enough to get a morning out at Hamilton Island to shoot the sunrise. I had planned to head out on the rocks on the shoreline to shoot the sunrise. Unfortunately the skies were all clear, so I knew once the sun came above the horizon it would be very bright. The best colours come out prior to the sunrise. Still can be a tough dynamic range to deal with, but not as tough as once the sun breaks the horizon. I found this nice location poolside. The air was still and clear, create a nice mood around the pool with it’s palm tree reflection and fantastic colourful glow in the distance over catseye Bay.

I really liked the relaxing mood and tranquility that the framing and reflection gave.
