Hamilton Island lookout sunrise

Strong wind and a dramatic morning

morning, dawn colour, sunrise

dramatic sunrise

While staying out on Hamilton Island I got out for a early sunrise. Went up to one of the hilltop lookout and frame the view out over Catseye bay. It was blowing like crazy but managed to capture a few snaps as the sun broke through. Turned out to be quite dramatic, although I would have loved the conditions to allow me to frame with something more in the foreground, but wind would not allow.

Framing

I tried to frame the shot and tie in the cloud formations, suns location and the lines generated from the wind and in the clouds. The main peek became a anchor point and the cloud and sea created the visual elements to show some lines, depth and interest.
