Best in B&W

Have been on a bit of a B&W run of late.. I used to shy away from it but finding it more appealing lately.. I like the balance it places on other compositional elements, removing colour as a distraction. Quite often harsh light can be managed much easily when shooting B&W. Which allows you to shoot more often, which is always a win.

I found this street ornament out front of a restaurant and it’s reflection on the stone/marble base created this nice abstract reflection. Framed for symmetry it seemed to work OK. I now find these types of images are everywhere around me, I just need to take the time to see them. Too often missed in the allure of more obvious subjects.
