Twilight is such a good time to shoot. The colors are naturally saturated and if you can get the balance of natural and artificial light it can create some cool images. So while out walking the dog, I did a “under the tree, check for spiders webs” and noticed a little friend hanging out above. He had such a large abdomen which was brightly colored purple with red speckles and a couple of yellow eyes. The body shape and specific coloring made for a really cartoonish look about it. I later checked on the web and the search results didn’t come up with a lot of matches. Plus I really didn’t want to find the species as it was far more entertaining to consider my find at the foreground of #science. Finding a new species, I might even get to name it. I’ve removed the geo location to protect the identity and location of my discovery. Please #arachnid and #spider enthusiast tell me if you know what this spider is. (Besides the name I’ve given it) there was also a large egg sac and a cluster of leave that made his/her home. Probably going to be a whole stack of the little critter soon.
