I see the light
While out with my kids one weekend, I came across these interesting light fixtures. The bare bulbs had large exposed elements or filaments and the lights were dimmed down very low. This allowed the details of the glowing wires to be visible and I knew I could make something of it.
The triangular arrangement of the lights just needed to be positioned in my frame. I shot it with a B&W red filter, and underexposed the shot, turning the background to near black. I wanted the glowing filament to be the key components of the image. It’s just another one of those photo opportunities that arise out of nothing. These details and small design elements exist everywhere in our day to day environment, we just need to find them with our photographic eye.
I hope you like it.
